About SamsSon Repair
Hi! We’re Jerry and Catherine Noordenbos. SamsSon Repair is named for Jerry’s dad, Sam — a man who “trained up a child in the way he should go,” passing along both his faith and his knowledge of everything from small engines to building houses and barns. He passed away many years ago, and SamsSon Repair carries his name forward.
Our promise to you is simple: we show up on time, work within your budget, and get your appliance running again as quickly as we can — done well, the first time.

Jerry
Jerry grew up on a dairy farm in Canada, where his family built their own buildings, repaired their own equipment, and didn’t call anyone else to fix what they could fix themselves. He followed his older brother Ernie into the trades and became a heavy-duty diesel mechanic, working for John Deere. Later he became a certified trade instructor, helped open the UTI campus in Orlando and developed parts of its curriculum, taught auto shop at Pampa High School, and spent years at Specialty Welding and Machine in Pampa as their engineer designing downhole oilfield tools and programming their lasers.
Twelve years ago, he turned all of that experience toward appliance repair. Today he runs SamsSon Repair at what he and Catherine call a “semi-retired” pace — three days a week, on purpose, because they’ve learned that good work needs room to breathe. When something can be fixed for less than the cost of replacing it, that’s what he tells you. Once in a while, when a small plastic part like a button or knob has been discontinued, he’ll 3D-print a replacement to finish the job. And once a teacher, always a teacher — customers tend to leave their service call having gained more than a working appliance: a small lesson in how the thing actually works, and usually a story or two.
Catherine
When you text 806-665-0100, you’re reaching Catherine — every time. She’s the one who’ll answer, and she rides along on every service call. A lot of customers — older women living alone, single moms — tell us they feel more at ease knowing it’s not a strange man showing up by himself. Catherine being there makes it a warmer call. She also knows the work well enough to run service calls on her own when Jerry’s down for a day.
Off the clock, you’ll find Catherine at the local dance academy, hanging out with her church family, and counting down the days to July — when she and Jerry become first-time grandparents to two granddaughters arriving six days apart.
